Roberto Chavez is an internationally award-winning photographer whose passion for photography began in childhood. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Photography from the prestigious ArtCenter College of Design and later completed a Master of Arts in Education (Higher Education) at Ashford University in San Diego, California.

Renowned for his distinctive visual style and precise eye for composition, Chavez’s work has been widely published and featured in editorials and international fine art venues. His photographs are exhibited regularly in galleries across Europe, including Germany, London, Spain, the Netherlands, and Paris, France—where he also maintains a residence.

Committed to education and mentorship, Chavez has inspired new generations of artists through lectures and instruction at numerous institutions, including Rio Hondo College, the Art Institute of Orange County, Cypress College, and the Cardinal Computer Academy at Whittier High School, where he continues to mentor emerging photographers.

Within his community, Chavez has held numerous leadership and advisory roles. He is a past Chairman of the City of Whittier Cultural Arts Commission, former Vice President of the Compton College Foundation, and has served as a Member at Large of the Whittier Historical Society, the City of Whittier Cultural Arts Foundation, and the Hillcrest Festival of Fine Arts, among others.

For over a decade, Chavez served as Chairman of the renowned Hillcrest Festival of the Fine Arts Festival in the City of La Habra, California. He is also was a core member of the Art Society of Long Beach, an active member of the French Association of Photography in Paris, and a member of the American Photographic Artists (APA), Los Angeles Chapter.
